ABOUT ME

20220617_034504000_iOS.jpg

Hi! I'm Michelle Graber, a doctoral candidate in the Composition Studies & Applied Linguistics program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a college English teacher. Research interests include rhetoric, learning transfer, mindset, writing across the disciplines, dual enrollment, multimodal writing, and composition theory. I have recently been exploring the role of metacognition and reflection in writing processes. I'm also interested in how students in online classes perceive and receive my teaching presence through my use of memes. Sometimes think I'm funny, but I wonder how students receive my humor.

thInks on my latest read . . .

Atlas of the Heart took me by storm! A-ha moments of emotional epiphanies flooded me in every chapter. Brene' Brown tackles issues like empathy and vulnerability and what it means to articulate emotions. 10/10, highly recommend.
